Martha Jane “Missy” Martin, 62, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 3, 2015.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. (Bill and Nell) Martin; sister, Beth Martin Riley; brother-in-law, Daniel John Riley; and niece, Katherine Riley Hall.
Missy graduated from Sheffield High School in 1971 and the University of Georgia in 1975. Missy lived an active life in Danville, California where she loved playing golf and volunteering at the Hospice of East Bay. She was dearly loved by her longtime partner, Michael Rubio, of Danville. Missy was “the belle of the ball” in any crowd, a caring daughter, sister, aunt and faithful friend, and a lover of animals. She will be greatly missed by the entire Martin family and many friends around the country.
There will be a celebration of Missy’s life ceremony on Oct. 25, in Anna Maria Island, Florida at sunset.
