Martha Jane Hood, age 62 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away January 1, 2022 at LeConte Medical Center, Sevierville, Tennessee. She was a member of Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Dewayne Smith and Ronnie Marbutt officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Martha is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ozie Austin Hood, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Stevens; son, Jeremy (Amanda) Hood; daughter Amanda (Scott) Dotson; daughter, Chasta (Jonathan) Yarbrough; daughter, Crystal (Chris) Dodd; 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild; father, Jimmy Neal Batchelor; sister, Patricia Hallman; and brother Michael Evans, and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Batchelor; grandson, Matthew Hood; sister, Mary McNutt; brothers, Jimmy Luther Batchelor, Tony Evans and Chris Batchelor.
