Martha J. Wade, age 78, of Russellville, AL passed away on Thursday, September 06, 2012.
The visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, September 07, 2012 at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. The 2 pm funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 08, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerome Sherrill officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Tree Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaulter Eugene Wade; parents, Clifton & Ettie Wilson; siblings, Woodrow Wilson, J.C. Wilson, Lola Mae Turzai, Bernice Osborn, Herman Wilson, Lewis D. Wilson, Vivian Keelon, Billy J. Wilson.
She is survived by children, Pamela (Vic) Nix, Sherry (Thomas) Nix, Greg (Jane) Wade; sisters, Inez McCurley, Hester Keelon; grandchildren, Matthew Nix, Dustin Nix, Denay Thomas, Jared Nix, Kristen Headlee, Kyle Nix, Chesley Wade, Elijah Wade; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be missed by a host of family & friends.
She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.
