Martha Campbell Jackson, age 77, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 02, 2019.
Martha was born on February 24, 1942 in Hughes, Arkansas to Sidney & Rosie Campbell. She married the love of her life, James, when she was only 13 years old and they shared 64 wonderful years together. She always worked in the sewing factories. She loved her flowers and watching the birds. She loved to watch Alabama football, and especially her favorite player, Jalen Hurts. Above everything, Martha loved her husband, children, and grandchildren, and leaves behind many wonderful memories.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 05, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Speaking at the service will be Wayne King, and Bro. Tommy Crowden. The burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney & Rosie (Cunningham) Campbell; three brothers; one sister; and great-grandson, Jackson Fisher.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 64 years, James Jackson; daughters, Lola (Ricky) Pounders, of Phil Campbell, Lisa (Mooch) Hester, of Tuscumbia, Diana (David) Wilbanks, of Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Sheldon (Tiffany) Curtis, Amanda Fisher, Landon Pierce, Peaches; great-grandchildren, Weston Fisher, Gavin Curtis, Gage Curtis; brother, David Campbell; sisters, Cathy Poist, Theresa Rock, Ruby Green, Mary Seyer; sister-in-law, Geneva Thompson; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Ricky Pounders, Mooch Hester, David Wilbanks, Weston Fisher, Gene Wilbanks, and Roger Wilbanks. The honorary pallbearer will be Larry Saint.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses of Russellville ICU, Dr. Jeffrey Chenyi and his staff, and Sherry Richardson for your love and care of our family.
