Martha C. Barton, age 95, of Florence, passed away December 7, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brandon Miles officiate. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Barton; son, Hugo Allan Barton; parents, Newton & Ruth Coleman; brother, Jimmy Coleman.
She is survived by her son, Danny Barton(Deborah) and daughter-n-law, Debera Weaver Barton; grandchildren Kimberly, Melissa, Becky, Rachael, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Martha was a member at First Presbyterian Church in Florence. She was a teacher for the Florence City Schools from 1960 till late 1980. She was a volunteer at the Friends of the Florence- Lauderdale Library and worked in the Genealogy Department and she loved to be with her family and her friends.
