Martha Blanche Shouse Nichols, 80, Math Teacher for the Davidson County Schools and resident of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, June 30, 2023 at Summit Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Goshen Cemetery with Danny Lunn officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com
Born September 11, 1942 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland Shouse and the late Ethel Mae Hood Shouse. She married Stephen Joel Nichols who preceded her in death in 2003. She was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and Middle Tennessee State University. For thirty-two years, she taught at Two-Rivers Middle School. Mrs. Nichols loved reading, puzzles, flowers, and going to Metropolis, Illinois. She was raised in Goshen United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Tory Nichols of Mt. Juliet; daughter, LaBronya (Vance) Gregory of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ryan Gregory, Rylee Gregory; sisters, Clara Mae Malugin of Columbia; Faye (Gerald) Adkisson of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law, Betty Shouse of Santa Fe; Judy Nichols; niece, Valarie Zahn; and nephew, Craig Nichols.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.W. Shouse, Arthur Shouse, Bobby Shouse, and Ronnie Lee Shouse.
