Mrs. Whitten was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer, TN, but not able to attend due to her health. She worked for Dollar General in Selmer for 16 years and enjoyed her time there. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved her three fur babies, two dogs, Shasta and Scrappy, and a cat Star.
She is survived by her children: Debbie Tarin and husband James of Selmer, TN, Dana Hopper and husband Bryan of Lexington, TN, Chris Whitten and wife Amy of Selmer, TN, Greg Whitten and wife Melissa of Rienzi, MS; a sister, Jean “Scooter” Chandler and husband Robert D.; eight grandchildren: Brandy Hines, Crystal Hines, Amanda Stanfill and husband Jessie, Christopher Whitten and wife Adrian, Chaseton Whitten, Devin Hines, Shania Davis, Brady Whitten; nine great grandchildren: Brya Hines, Abigale Stanfill, Hunter Stanfill, Amber Bates, Alex Bates, Aaliyah Hines, Allison Hines, Laken Jo Whitten, London Whitten; and a special nephew, Mike Chandler.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Whitten was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Causey who passed away in 1976 and her second husband, Coy Whitten who passed away in 2000.
