Martha Ann “Annie” Pugh, Age 79, of Athens, passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 8, 1935 to Luther Brooks and Marian Lillian Bullington Brooks in Limestone County.
Services will be Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. David Jones will be officiating. Visitation will be Monday July 20, 2015 from 6:00-9:00P.M.at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evans cemetery.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Marian Brooks and her loving husband David Pugh. Her four brothers: Leon Brooks, Gene Brooks, Arnold Brooks, Thaniel Brooks and three sisters: Frances Cox, Bessie Pugh, and Susie Moore.
She is survived by two daughters: Peggy Davis (Tom) and Deborah Dollar (David) both of Athens, her son David Pugh (Val) of Athens, her brother George Jackson Brooks (Linda) of Athens and her sisters in law: Betty Brooks, Patricia Brooks, Hazel Brooks, and Cindy Siniard. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Weston Davis, Whitney Tomlin, Rod Shoulders, Chris Shoulders, LaDarius Shoulders, LaDouglas Shoulders, Shane Black, Brett Dollar, and Spencer Dollar. Five great grandchildren: Davis, Elli, Emery Tomlin and Landon and Logan Black. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Shane Black, Weston Davis, Haven Tomlin, Stevie Moore, Jackie Brooks, and Mark Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Brooks, Allen Tucker, and LaDarius Shoulders.
