Mrs. Marsha Dianne Gilbert, 76, died January 24, 2026. She was born January 8, 1950 in Tunica, MS to Buron Thomas Shepherd and Eufaula Henson Shepherd. She was raised in Clarksdale, MS and later moved to Oaklawn, IL where she lived for 21 years and later settled in Tupelo, MS where she and her husband of 60 years, Jerry Gilbert have lived for the past 30 years. Marsha loved going to church and was a member of Priceville Baptist Church. She loved her church family and spending time with her family, her kids, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren who lovingly called her Mommaw or Grandma, and especially her husband. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and painting her nails. She had a green thumb gardening and flowers. Marsha was a faithful Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Priceville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to service time only on Thursday.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Gilbert of Tupelo; her children Allan Gilbert and Alicia Cryder; grandchildren, Cody (Kayla) Cryder, Summer Cryder, Hunter and Jacob Gilbert; great grandchildren, Willa Sage and Saylem Jean and Oakley Mae; sibling, Rodney Shepherd; nieces and nephews, Scott and Steve Hayes, Rodney and Connie Shepherd, Wendell and Randle Shepherd, Keith, Mitchell, Karen Ashmore, Temma, Tony, and Debra Balducci. She was preceded in death by her parents; child, Casey Gilbert; siblings Donald Shepherd, Glynda Ashmore Shepherd, Betty Hayes Shepherd, and David Michael Shepherd, Martha Ann Shepherd, Jimmie Nell Shepherd, and Patricia Balducci Shepherd.

Pallbearers will be Cody Cryder, Hunter Gilbert, Jacob Gilbert, Hunter Conwill, Ricky Edwards, Billy Daniels, and Grant Bishop.
