Marlon Joil McAlister, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at his residence.
Joil was a very private person, but he loved fishing and hunting. He loved his animals, especially taking care of his cows.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Bro. Willie Cummings officiating. The burial will be at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marlon McAlister; brother, Teddy Allan McAlister; grandparents, Fred & Flossie McAlister, Rufus & Eula Baker; uncles, J.C. Baker and Marvin “JW” McAlister.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Andrew McAlister; mother and step-dad, Janet & Cecil James; siblings, Tina Ortiz (Pedro), Becky White, Michael James (Lucy), Baretta Saint; aunts & uncles, Betty & Olen McAlister, Bobby & Faye Baker, Virginia Pinkard; and several nieces & nephews, great-nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Greg Baker, Craig Saint, Ryan Saint, Brett Saint, Michael James, and Tony Thrasher.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Doug Hallman for checking on Joil, also to Charles Adcox, Franklin County Coroner and Spry Memorial Chapel for the care given to our family.
