Marlin Hinkle age 88, of Union Grove passed away Sat. April 27, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Hinkle was born on Feb. 13, 1931, in Marshall County, AL the Son of Dewey Morgan and Hattie Belle Turner Hinkle.
He served in the Army from Jan. 1951 until Dec. 1953. He then served in the National Guard for several years. He was married to Rennetta Dean Hinkle and they lived in Huntsville for about 50 years. Mr. Hinkle retired from the City of Huntsville where he worked as the Supervisor of the Waste Water Treatment Plant. He was a Mason and was a member of the Helion Lodge No. 1 in Huntsville. After he retired he and his Wife, moved to the Union Grove area in 2010.
Survivors include his Wife: Rennetta Hinkle of Union Grove; Daughters: Jean (Lawrence) Curry of Lester, AL and Kathy (Benny) Wilbourn of Hazel Green, AL; Grandchildren: Mick (Christie) Mullins, Christy (Bradley) Johnson, Dustin (Casey) Curry, Angela (Chris) Thomason, Bryan Wilbourn and Amanda Wilbourn; 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Tues. Apr. 30, 2019, at Gober Funeral Chapel from 6-8 PM. A Visitation will be held on Wed. May 1, 2019, at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville from 12 PM-2 PM, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:30 PM at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville.
