Marlin Bryce Tompkins, 67, of Decatur, formerly of Arab died Wednesday – January 27, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Tompkins was born on July 12, 1948 in Moline, Illinois, the son of William Charles and Willie Ruth Reynolds Tompkins. He lived in Arab for many years and moved to Decatur. Mr. Tompkins was a truck driver/car hauler . He and the former Shannon Leigh Martin were married for 17 years.
He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife: Shannon Tompkins; Son: Bradley Tompkins; Daughter: Stephanie Tompkins Hale; Brothers: Larry Tompkins (Mary), Rodney Tompkins (Jan); Grandchildren: Joshua Fleming(Loretta), Holli Hale; Great Grandchildren: Emma Lynn Fleming and Ethan Fleming; One Niece, Three Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother: William Charles and Willie Ruth Reynolds Tompkins.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday – January 31, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Rev. Marvin McCormick, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Visitation will be 1:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. Sunday – January 31, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
