Funeral service for Marlene Patsy Olson, age 68 , of Trinity, will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Senior Pastor Eddie Scheler officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Olson, who died Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born October 5, 1945, in Valrico, Florida to Grover Cleveland Sewell and Riva Virginia Waters Sewell. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, Nana and friend. She was married to her loving husband Donald for 48 years. She lived a blessed and purposeful life. She was the center of her family, her wisdom, strength and grace bound them together. A most gracious lady that will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Olson of Trinity; son, Donald Jeff Olson (Terra) of Fishers, Indiana; daughter, Cynthia Dawn Todd (Robert) of Trinity; two brothers, Grover Sewell, Jr. and Ronald Sewell of Valrico, Florida; her twin sister, Lorene Der of Valrico, Florida; Grandchildren, Donald Justin Lawrence and Jordan Ryan Lawrence both of Trinity, Benjamin Richard Olson and Lillian Claire Olson both of Fishers, Indiana and Chance Bryan of Leeds, AL.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
