Mark Anthony Kelley Sr Mark Anthony Kelley, Sr., age 74, of Guntersville, passed away on December 22, 2023. He was born on June 8, 1949, to the late Oly B Kelley and Cloia Sims Kelley. Mark dedicated over 20 years of his life as an assistant service manager at Kilpatrick Chevrolet, where he became a respected and valued member of the team.
A man of faith, Mark was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill #2 Baptist Church for many years. He found solace and community within the church and shared his faith with those around him.
Mark had a passion for classic cars, finding joy in their timeless designs. He loved to travel to the mountains, finding peace in the natural beauty that surrounded him. Fishing was another of his beloved pastimes, providing moments of serenity and reflection.
Family was at the center of Mark’s life, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. Despite health considerations, Mark had a sweet tooth and couldn’t resist indulging in his love for sweet treats.
Mark is survived by his children, Angela Kelley, Hillary Kelley, Mark Anthony Kelly, Jr., Justin Spencer Kelley, Matthew Colby Kelley; grandchildren, Mark Anthony Kelley III “Trey,” Jason Alexander Kelley, John Lucas Allen Kelley, Emily Joette Kelley, Brantley Jaxon Garrard, Kinley Evonna Kelley, Nathaniel Bryson Kelley; great-grandchild, Jazmyn Octavia Kelley; sister, Charlotte Ann Charles; and a special friend, Sarah Kelley McCrary; host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Allen Kelley; grandson, Perry Bryson Kelley; and brother, Jimmy Doyle Kelley.
A funeral service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Those honored to assist Mark to his final resting place at Pleasant Hill #2 Baptist Church Cemetery include Brantley Garrard, Luke Kelley, Trey Kelley, Jason Kelley, and Patrick Garrard.
Mark Anthony Kelley, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering love, his dedication to family and work, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. May he rest in eternal peace.
