Marjorie Stroud, age 94 of Double Springs, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Hendrix Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 13, 1926 to Roy Lee and Irna-Adams Herring.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. . Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Steve Wakefield will officiate the service.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Richard) Howell; sisters, Nell Desmond and Faye Trussell; Six grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stroud; parents, Roy and Irna Herring; son, Donnie Blanchard; daughter, Brenda Horton; brothers, Clarence Edward Herring and Robert Stanley Herring; sisters, Nina Watts, Mary Helen Laney, and Dot Snyder; grandsons, Phillip Kiser and Keith Blanchard.
