Marjorie “Margie” Marie Cox Scales, 65, resident of Lewisburg and formerly of Williamson County, passed away Saturday, November 2, at her home.

Funeral services for Margie will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5th in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Raymond Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Heritage Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jason McCord, Joseph Cox, C.J. Crafton, Thomas Crafton, Bryce Roberts and Tristan Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Elisha Harper, Robert Darrel Crafton, Elisha Allen Cox, Jr. and her nephews.

Born September 19, 1954 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late Elisha Allen Cox, Sr. and Velma Walton Cox. She worked as a nurse with Willowbrook Hospice. She loved the outdoors, taking care of people and spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by her daughters: Lee Ann Scales of Franklin and Marie (Bryce) Roberts of Lewisburg; brother: Elisha (Sherry) Cox, Jr. of Fairview; sisters: Janice Cox McCord of Columbia and Carlene (David) Anderson of Thompson Station; grandchildren: Abigail McReynolds, Marjorie Nicole Clark and Jackson Elisha Harper: niece: Sharon (Darrel) Crafton; nephew Jason Allen McCord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jimmy Cox and Joe Ridley Cox.
