Funeral service for Marita Mary Suite McElwey, 87, will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Ms. McElwey died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born Thursday, February 3, 1927, in Morgan County to Mose William Suite and Maudie Mae Shedd Suite. Ms. McElwey was a veteran of World War II from the U.S. Navy, where she trained pilots in Pensacola. She also was a model for photographers for several years, was an office manager for a Doctor’s Office for about 20 years, was a welder for a short time and was self employed as an Avon representative for about 8 years prior to retirement. She was preceded in death by : her parents, three brothers: Raymond Chaney, Hubert McMinn and Burton Suite, and nine sisters: Elsie Aday, Nova Shedd, Cora Cobb, Grace Riggs, Lucille Gay, Marguerite Drinkard, Christine Hill, Robbie Jean McCorkle and Flora Suite.
Survivors include:

and many, many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
