Funeral service for Marion Lynnette Brown Wheeler, 72, of Trinity will be Monday, March 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with John Phillips officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wheeler who died March 14, 2014, at her residence was born August 3, 1941, in Morgan County to Ed and Nellie Brown. Marion was a housewife and a very loving and caring mother who loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edith Howell.
Survivors include her ex-husband, Daniel William Cartee; sons, Danny Cartee, Gregg (Teresa) Cartee, Phil (Mea) Cartee; daughters, Diane (Steve) Chambers, Gina (Lee) Bradley and Lisa (Sonny) Westmoreland; stepdaughter, Susan Hudson; Brother, Sonny Brown; sister, Juanita Smallwood and Martha Posey; 15 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cartee, Jeffery Cartee, Daniel Cartee, Keith Bradley, J.R. Westmoreland and Josh Standridge.
