Born in Union Grove, Alabama, Marion always held a special place in her heart for her hometown, affectionately known as “the Grove.” She cherished her childhood there and loved sharing stories and reminiscing about the memories and people who helped shape her life.

Marion had a lifelong love of sports. She especially enjoyed playing softball in her younger years and later discovered a passion for bowling. She had a competitive spirit that shined through in every sport she played. Whether on the field, at the bowling alley, or simply spending time with those she loved, Marion’s joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life were contagious.

Known by her family as the “Baby Whisperer,” Marion had a remarkable gift for caring for children. She taught everyone to make light of every situation and to never take life too serious.
