Marilyn Rachelle (Williams) Mott, 26, left this world on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Rachelle was born and raised in Northport, and resided in Cordova with her husband. She was a much-beloved wife, daughter and sister.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Perry Lamar Mott, her parents, Greer and Braxie Williams, her brothers, Braxton (21) and Hudson (18), her parents-in-law, Randy and Penne Mott, her Great-Grandma, Marilyn Fugere, her grandparents, Dennis and Holly Frost, Laura Williams, Linda Woods and Nancy Williams. Also her half siblings, Kayla and Declan Woods and Danae Porter, along with Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. She was well loved by so many family and friends.
Rachelle was a nurse and still attending UAB furthering her education and career. More than anything, Rachelle loved being married to her best friend and husband. Rachelle was in the choir and an active member at Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Cordova.
Her fighting spirit, fierce love, and her concern for those around her is already dearly missed. Rachelle was passionate about raising awareness and funding for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). She did this through community walks and cycling events. Her funeral services will be held at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, Wednesday, August 9th at 4:00pm visitation, 5:00pm services. Graveside services will be Thursday at Odom Memorial Cemetery for family.
