Marilyn Nix Bradford, 62, Florence, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, August 11, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Tommy Crowden officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.
Marilyn was a member of Tuscumbia Valley Baptist Church. She was truly an Angel on earth. She dedicated her life to helping others, and a great void will be felt by all that knew her. Marilyn had a career in the health field. She spent the last years of service as a case manager in the ER at North Alabama Medical Center. She also worked with the Florence Alabama Humane Society.
Marilyn loved to garden, work with flowers, cook, can, weave baskets, and crochet. She was truly a Renaissance Woman. But her great love was her husband, Glenn. They were best friends, adventure partners, and sweethearts. The two were truly soulmates for life. Marilyn loved the Smoky Mountains, and that’s where we will see her in her Happy Place.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bobbie Jean Tidwell Nix; brothers, Marlon “Buddy” and Melvin Nix; and nephews, Joshua and Matthew Nix.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Glenn Bradford; brothers, Ricky Nix (Patricia), Marvin Nix, Myron Nix (Elaine), and Maylon Nix (Kim); five nephews; and two nieces.
Pallbearers will be Michael Nix, Brandon Nix, Greg Nix, Chris Stowe, Marvin Nix, and Bradford Bevis.
