Marilyn Miller Poe, 79, of Huntsville, AL, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2022. Marilyn is the daughter of Curtis and Edna Miller and was born on October 13, 1943. Marilyn is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 56 years, Wyatt Thurman Poe, Sr. and their son, Wyatt Thurman “T” Poe, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Lynn McAlpin (Tommy); grandchildren, Samuel “Sam” Leo Trupiano, Jr. (Candice), Hayley Poe Tipton (Keenan), and Wyatt Thurman “Trey” Poe III; great-grandchildren, Mia and Trevor Trupiano; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marilyn will forever be remembered by family and friends as a devout Christian, servant of God, self-taught painter, avid shopper and having a gentle soul. She’ll also be remembered for her dedication to her church as the treasurer, member of the choir, and love for baking.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Tidmore of Monte Sano Baptist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
