Marilyn Mary Rose Elam, 53, of Sheffield, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at her residence.
Visitation was last evening at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be today, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with James Lee and Bobby Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Elam was preceded in death by her father, Loyd Clemmons; mother, Ruby C. Riggs; brothers, Clifford, Larry, and Dewey Clemmons; sister, Tammy C. Holt.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Elam of Sheffield; son, Chuck Elam (Jennifer) of Killen; daughters, Paula Sherer (Joseph), Tonya McVay all of Sheffield; grandsons, Anthony Elam of Killen, Christopher McVay of Sheffield; granddaughter, Nika Elam of Killen; sister, Shelia Nichols (Larry) of Florence; brothers, Noah Riggs, Jr. and Greg Riggs both of Florence; grandmother, Pauline Sandy of Florence; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Ricky Rice, Mark Clemmons, Charlie Holt, Jon Clemons, Ray Terry, and Chris Borden.
