Marie Spoon, 57, of Burnsville, MS, died November 21, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, and was formerly the owner of Marie and Jane’s Café in Burnsville. She attended Union University, and loved going shopping. Most of all, she loved time with her children and grandchildren, and having family gatherings. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, November 23 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Mike Edwards. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Paul Spoon of Burnsville, MS; 2 sons – Jeremy Spoon (Sabrina) and Kevin Spoon (Shae), both of Burnsville, MS; 1 brother – Gerald Johnson (Brenda) of Hinkle, MS; and 3 grandchildren – Talon Spoon, Jonathan Spoon, and Benji Spoon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Amy Rogers Johnson; and 2 brothers, Junior and Bill Johnson.
