Funeral service for Marie Poole Schroeder, age 61, of Trinity will be Monday, March 16, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Hillsboro Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Kerby and Bro. Mike McCulloch officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Poole, who died Friday, March 13, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born January 13, 1954, in Linden, Alabama to Johnnie Clay Poole and Laverne Glass Poole. Her church affiliation was Hillsboro Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, especialy her grandkids, birdwatching, cooking, making people laugh and encouraging others. She was employed at Dollar General.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Johnna Faye Poole.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Morris Schroeder; daughters, Kayla Schroeder Whitehead (Joey), Sharen Schroeder Ahlberg (Thor), and Tabitha Schroeder Estes (Dennis); grandchildren, Brody and Kelsi Whitehead, Jordan, Jason and John Jatko, Justin (Brandi) Quinnelly, Joshua (Kara) Quinnelly, and McKenna Ahlberg; great-grandchildren, Alice Marie Jatko, Anniston Grace Quinnelly, and Dante Jatko; sister, Patricia Poole Luker (Mike); and nephew, Clay Tew and wife Tara; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin and Joshua Quinnelly, Jordan and John Jatko, and Duke and Darrell Schroeder.
