Marie Calvert age 86 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Calvert was born August 28, 1930 in Limestone County, AL to Arthur Edward George and Dale Cheatham George.
Services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 10:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Calvert was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Calvert; one son, Stan Calvert.
Survived by one daughter, Judy Sarver and husband, Bill of Fayetteville, GA; one son, Steve Calvert and wife, Sharron of New Market, AL; four grandchildren, David Calvert, Jeremy Calvert, Emily Valenti and Katie Chandler; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, William George, Gilbert George and wife, Dalma Ann and Jerry George and wife, Carolyne all of Athens.
Pallbearers will be David Calvert, Shane Calvert, Jeremy Calvert, Jimmy Swanner, Damien Valenti and Mike Jackson.
