Marie Brown died Thursday, April 30, 2015. Her family will receive friends Saturday, noon-2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tommy James and Brother Henry Melton officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Brown was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Sheffield and owned Brown’s Cleaners in Tuscumbia for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brown, parents, Jeff and Helen Davis, grandson, Zack Taylor, sister, Nadine Cox, and brother, Buck Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Taylor Copeland and husband, Gene, and grandchildren, Galin Taylor, Joseph Taylor and wife, Carla, and Shawn Taylor and wife, Lea.
Pallbearers are Gary Cox, Steve Cox, Joseph Taylor, Galin Taylor, Shawn Taylor, and Danny Copeland.
Special thanks to Dr. Edsel Holden, Dr. Webb of Palliative Care at ECM, and the nursing staff of third, fifth, and sixth floors at ECM Hospital.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
