Marian Faye Huff Harris, age 84, of Decatur, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Somerville Church of God, located on AL Hwy 67. Rev. P.J. Jenkins will officiate and Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home will be directing. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m.
Mrs. Harris was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Bessemer, Alabama to Clarence Y. Huff and Velma Brock Huff. She married Rev. Truman A. Harris in 1952. She served along side her husband in his ministry until his death in 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, C.Y. Huff Jr.
She is survived by one son, Stephen M. Harris; one daughter, Julie Hames and her husband, Greg; one brother, Bob Huff and his wife, Jan; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
