In Loving Memory of Mariah Shannon Aldridge, 32
With hearts that will never be the same, we announce the passing of our beloved Mariah Shannon Aldridge, 32. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave will remain with us forever.
Mariah was the kind of person who made the world gentler, simply by being in it. She was honest, compassionate, selfless, and fiercely loving. She had a heart that always made room for others; offering comfort, encouragement, and unwavering support to anyone who needed it. She gave the best advice and we could always count on her to be fair and reasonable; our “voice of reason”. Her strength was quiet, but remarkable. Even in the face of unimaginable hardship, she met each day with grace, courage, and dignity.
Above all else, Mariah was an extraordinary mother. Huckston was the center of her world and every decision she made was rooted in her deep love for him. She celebrated his joys, carried his burdens, and loved him with a tenderness that never wavered. She gave him not only her care, but also her time, her patience, her guidance, and her whole heart. The love she poured into him will continue to shape his life for years to come, and he will always know that he was cherished beyond measure, by his mommy who loves him more than anything in this world.
To her family, Mariah was so much more than a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and friend. She was their safe place, their biggest encourager, their laughter on difficult days, and the person they could always count on. She shared an especially precious bond with her niece, Noa Mariah, who adored her and will grow up knowing just how deeply her Aunt Mariah loved her. To her sisters- she was more than a sister- she was their best friend. She is also lovingly remembered by Dakotah, Huck’s dad and Mariah’s dear friend. The memories they created together will live on and be lovingly shared with Huck, ensuring he always knows the incredible woman, mother, and person Mariah was. There are no words that can express the emptiness her absence leaves behind.
Mariah’s faith in Jehovah was the foundation of her life. She trusted Him with all her heart and held firmly to his promises, even through the most difficult days of her illness. That faith gave her strength, comfort, and hope when so much felt uncertain. While our hearts ache beyond words, we find peace in knowing that Mariah never let go of her faith. We eagerly look forward to the day Jehovah fulfills his promise and brings her back to us, when we will embrace her again and never have to say goodbye.
Cancer changed the course of Mariah’s life, but it never changed who she was. It never took away her kindness, her compassion, her grit or the light she carried within her. She fought with incredible bravery until she could fight no longer; leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, courage, strength, and unwavering faith.
Mariah leaves behind a family whose lives are forever changed by losing her. Though our hearts are broken, we are endlessly grateful for every memory, every laugh, every hug, and every moment we were blessed to share with her.
Message from family:
There are no words that can fully capture who Mariah was or the void she leaves behind. We will carry her with us in every sunrise, every favorite song, every family gathering, and every quiet moment when we long to hear her voice one more time. We will see her in the beautiful eyes and heart of her little boy.
If love alone could have saved her, she would have lived forever. Until the day we see her again, we will honor her by loving as she loved, believing as she believed, and holding tightly to the hope she never let go of. We love you to the stars, the moon, Saturn and back.
Forever our daughter.
Forever our sister.
Forever our best friend.
Forever Noa Mariahs auntie.
Forever Huckleberry’s mommy.
Forever loved.
Forever missed.
Until we see you again, our precious girl.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Guntersville AL on Monday June 29th, 2026 at 5pm.
