Mrs. Maria De Jesus Cuellar, age 56, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at her residence. She was born on January 04, 1970 in Tulancingo, Hidalgo. She worked at Lowes in the garden center as a sales associate. Though she came from Catholic roots, she recently attended Bybee Branch Church of Christ. Maria viewed her family as her greatest blessing in life and cherished the memories made. She had a knack for growing plants and flowers but her favorite was roses. She had a warm, welcoming personality and never met a stranger. She welcomed everybody with open arms and treated them as a true friend.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years Jose Luis Cuellar, children Shania Itali Cuellar (Carlos Sanchez) and Lindsay Marie (Luis) Granados, grandchildren Elias Granados and Itali Valentina Sanchez, siblings Adolfo Rivera, Raymundo Rivera, Valentin Rivera, Juan Rivera, Javier Rivera, Elizabeth Rivera, Theodora Rivera, Amelia Roque, Alejandra Rivera, Antonia Rivera, and Blanca Rivera. She is preceded in death by parents Javier Rivera Peralta and Mariana Templos Islas, and sister Leonor Rivera.
Funeral services for Maria Cuellar are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Josue will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
