Marguerite Watkins Bolton Chiasson, age 92, passed away August 3, 2023, at her home. She has left this world to gather with her family for a Heavenly Reunion. She was a member of the Springville Baptist Church.
She was a loving Mother to eight, Grandmother to seventeen, Great-grandmother to twenty-three and Great-Great-Grandmother to fourteen. Her descendants are her legacy. “Grete”, as she was so lovingly known, was the thirteenth child of fourteen, of Eugene Scott Watkins and Lettie Ann Yielding Watkins. She was the last surviving sibling of the Watkins children. The Watkins family has held yearly family reunions at Howard Stafford Park since it opened.
Grete leaves behind two daughters; Brenda (Frank) Horn, Dianne (Therold) Bolen and four sons; Perry Bolton (Tina), David (Ann) Bolton, Tim Bolton and Bobby Bolton.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Lettie Watkins, eight sisters and five brothers, her late husband, Paul Chiasson, and her children’s father, Wilburn “Bud” Bolton, a son, Larry Bolton, and a daughter, Sandra Bolton Fuller.
Services will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2PM at Springville Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, August 4th 5-8PM at the church and Saturday, August 5th 12PM until service time. Burial will follow Cherry Creek Cemetery.
