Marguerite Elsa Boehm Guettler, “Gretchen” of Owens Crossroads, age 77, passed away, Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 3, 1941 in Yonkers, New York. Daughter of the late Francis Xavier Boehm and Marguerite Abbott Boehm. She grew up in Ft Pierce, Florida, where she met her husband, Michael. They were separated temporarily after 50 years of marriage, by his passing, she has now joined him for eternity. She will be dearly missed by the ones she left behind. She had a smile that was contagious, she spoiled her grandchildren and loved us all unconditionally. She always took time for others no matter how busy things were. She loved to listen to others and always quick to provide help.

She is survived by her 5 children, Michael Jr. (Patricia), Lisa Wiersma (Bryan), Kevin (Amy), Patrick (Diana), Brian (Tara), 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her loving sister, Diane Ferguson.

Friends will be received Friday, August 24, 2018 from 3:30 PM until 4:30 PM and Mass to begin at 4:30 PM. Both to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2300 Beasley Drive. Huntsville Al.

Donations may be made to her name, in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.st.jude.org.
