Marguerite Courtney Ford, age 78, of Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Randy Thompson officiating. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec 12, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 103 North Broad St., Tuscumbia. The family will receive friends from 10–11 a.m., prior to the service.
Mrs. Ford was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscumbia. She was a retired teacher with Tuscumbia Head Start and was a volunteer for the Childrens’ Advocacy Center in Florence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Ford; son, Steven Ford (Regina); granddaughter, Rachel Ford; sisters, Claudia Ann Myers (M.B.), and Elaine Aylward; and nieces, Valerie Bass, Laura Parker and Lorraine Aylward.
