Margie Marie Clark, age 95, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Philip Morton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 29, 1931, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Margie was the daughter of the late Elmer Brewer and the late Rancy Testiment Brewer.

Margie was a self-employed seamstress and a hardworking woman who took great pride in her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and the one who kept everyone together. Her family meant the world to her, and she was always there for the people she loved. Margie had a strong faith and talked to God often. She was a member of the Baptist faith and drew comfort and strength from her relationship with the Lord. She will be remembered for her hard work, her caring heart, and most of all, the love she had for her family.

Margie is survived by son, Rex Clark, daughters, Bobbie Morton, Leva Hodges and Wilma Watkins, brother, Allen (Louise) Brewer, sisters, Rebecca Lowe, Ruby Harris and Glenda Herriod, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clark, son, James Richard Clark, daughter, Violet Dean Qualls, brothers, Walter Lee Brewer, Riley Brewer, Joseph “Joe” Carter, sisters, Earlene Warrick, Louida Goad, Juanita Brewer and infant twins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jay King and Nicholas Hodges.
