Margie Faye Estes Margie Faye Estes, age 82, resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service to celebrate Margie’s life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, with David Buffalo officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margie was born on May 2, 1941, in Maury County, the daughter of the late Fleming Swope McCandless and the late Nettie Holt McCandless Berry. She graduated from Santa Fe High School and was a longtime member of Riverview Baptist Church, where her love and dedication to the church community were evident.

Margie and her husband, Eddie, shared a passion for line dancing, even teaching classes together. She enjoyed going for rides, cooking, tending to flowers, and engaging in friendly arguments. Margie was known for her generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and warmth endeared her to all who knew her.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Estes of Columbia; children, Michael Hedrick of Columbia, Ricky (Becky) Hedrick of Columbia, Patricia (Troy) Kelley of Thompson Station; stepchildren, Robin Keith Workman of Springfield, David Craig (Sandra Kay) Pedrick of Mt. Pleasant, and Tony Estes of Columbia; siblings, Carnell (Sheila) McCandless of Lynnville, Bonnie McCandless Dale of Lewisburg, and Linda Berry Smith (Bobby) Howell of Hohenwald. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Margie was preceded in death by her children, Debbie Mealer and Randy Hedrick; and siblings, Lanny McCandless, James McCandless, Roy McCandless, Henry McCandless, and Jerry McCandless.

Pallbearers for Margie’s funeral service will be Walt Shell, Michael Hedrick, David Craig Pedrick, Robin Workman, Brandon Mealer, and Troy Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Riverview Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help cover the funeral cost.
