Margie Dixon Williamson, age 99 of Smyrna, TN passed away peacefully with her family by her side Friday 17th day, October 2025. She was born in Waynesboro to the late James Robert Dixon and Sally Elleen Dixon. Margie Williamson was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Williamson, sisters, Velma Long, Lolitta Heflin, Jimmie Miller, Barbara Walkup, and brother, Veron “Blair” Dixon.
Mrs. Williamson was a 1944 graduate of Walter Hill School with honors. She attended Andrew Jackson Business College in Nashville. She married Charles Lee Williamson in 1950. Margie Williamson worked for the Smyrna Sewart Air Force Base, the Rutherford Courier and for many years was employed with the VA Regional in Nashville and later transferred to Murfreesboro. Mrs. Willamson was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna. She enjoyed sewing, painting, participating in the Smyrna Garden Club and playing bridge. Margie Williamson delighted in vacationing with her husband and Rutherford County friends in Sebring, Florida. Mrs. Williamson loved her family and was an incredible devoted mother. She was affectionally called Maw Maw and Mi Mi by her 4 grandchildren.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by Lonnie Williamson and his wife Phoebe and Vickie Mathis and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Trey Mathis and his wife Rachel, Adam Mathis, Rachel Moore and her husband Brett, and Andie Martin and her husband Drew; great grandchildren, Gavin, Henry, Caroline, Roque and Raynie Lee; and sister-in-law, Nita Dixon.
The family would like to thank The Pavilion Senior Living Smyrna and Alive Hospice for their above and beyond care of Mrs. Williamson.

Visitation will be Wednesday October 22nd 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna. Funeral service will be 12Noon Wednesday October 22nd at First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna. Chaplin Andy Ingram will officiate. Interment to follow in Mapleview Cemetery www.woodinchapel.com
