Margie Carolyn Rea, age 72, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 . The service will be Monday, Jan. 11, at noon at Spry-Williams Funeral Home with Brother Dave Harris officiating. The visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
The burial will follow in Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Herman Alvie Rea; daughter, Angie Young Dowel; son, Allen Young (Tonya); granddaughter, Fallon; and great-granddaughter, Sophie; brother-in-law, Willard Hill.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Hill.
Mrs. Rea was a member of East Colbert Church of Christ and a graduate of the University of Alabama. She was also a speech writer for Governors Wallace and Siegleman.
The family would like to thank Southern Hospice, Sarah Rogers and all the very special care givers that spent time caring for Carolyn, Polly, Shirley, Misty, Kelly and Katrina.
