Ms. Margarett Reed Hayes, age 65, of the Mt. View area of Union Grove, Alabama passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Ms. Hayes was born in Marshall County, Alabama on September 20, 1957 to Robert Reed and Betty Graves Reed. Margarett enjoyed taking long walks and loved all animals. Margarett was a thoughtful and caring family member and friend. She spent many hours on the phone calling her family members and friends simply to check up and see if they were ok.
Margarett is survived by her loving family: son, Jeremy Hayes (Melissa); daughter, Kristi Clemens (Ray); six grand-children, Jackson Hayes, Lulu Clemens, Bryson Clemens, Tyanna Clemens, David Clemens and Aden Clemens; brothers, Bob Reed (Gladys) and James Reed (Judy); sisters, Linda Sanders, Wanda Holt, Sue Tomlin (AL), and Dean Meeks (Larry).
Family members preceding Margarett in death include: parents, Robert and Betty Reed; brother, Kenneth Reed; and sisters, Ruth Christa, Janice Quick, Inez Gilbreath, Shirley Taylor and Nelda Sanders.
Ms. Hayes’ funeral service will be held at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City on Thursday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service starts at 11:00. Interment will be at Mt. View Church Cemetery, Union Grove. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hayes, Josh Coffelt, Branden Briscoe, Aaron Thomas, Poodle, and Charter Nicholson, III.
