Margaret Ruth Fowlkes, 85, of Florence, passed away June 4, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2015, from noon – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Kelby Smith and Dale Boren officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Fowlkes was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Fowlkes; and granddaughter, Amanda Haddock.
She is survived by her sons, James W. Fowlkes (Debby), Robert D. Fowlkes (Sandra), and Jerry W. Fowlkes (Linda); daughters, Patsy Pitts (Vance), Kaye Stults (Dwight), and Debbie Scott; brother, Robert Harvey; sisters, Joanne Russell and Mary Newton; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Pitts, Daniel Pitts, Josh Fowlkes, Justin Fowlkes, Bubba Fowlkes, and Jeremy Fowlkes.
