Margaret Putman Herston, age 82 passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2017, from noon until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Barklely Cemetery.
She was a member of Killen Church of Christ and was Miss Florence Comprehensive Care Queen in 2013.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ermon Bedford Herston; daughter, Phyllis Watkins; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors are her daughters, Shelia Herston Holden (Dale), Thresa Herston, and Regina D. Askew; brother, Barrie Putman; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
