Margaret Hayes LaBoudiere Margaret (Peggy) Hayes LaBoudiere, age 86, passed away on July 20, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Francis LaBoudiere.  She is survived by her son, Daniel Joseph LaBoudiere (Kaycee) and her two grandchildren, Julia Margaret LaBoudiere and Joseph Martin LaBoudiere.

Margaret was born in Manhattan, New York, daughter of Irish immigrants and was a 1st generation born American.  She took great pride in her Irish heritage and always wanted to pass that love along to her children and grandchildren, with St. Patrick’s Day being one of her favorite holidays.  She and her husband opened their home as emergency foster care parents in the 1970’s and fostered over 70 children during that time.   She lived by her Catholic faith and was a proud member of Queen of the Universe Catholic Church.  She also actively attended First Baptist Church Fellowship Club and loved dining out with friends and family.   She loved to cook, always eager to make a meal for her family, and also loved going out to eat.  You would always find her growing vegetables, usually in her window box in the kitchen.   Margaret was someone with a lot of interests and she definitely wanted to share these with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved so much.  She loved trying to teach her granddaughter how to knit and wanted to pass on to her grandchildren the love in giving handmade gifts.   Margaret always gave to people what she could.   She leaves a legacy of faith in God and love for her family.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m to 12 p.m on Saturday, July 23 at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL.   There will be a full Catholic mass at 12 p.m following visitation with Father Joy Chalissery and burial will be at Taylor Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL following the service.
