Margaret Pauline Inman Keeton was born October 30, 1936 in Fort Scott, KS to the union of the late Harlan and Grace Pickfard Inman. On June 11, 1952, at the age of 17, she was united in marriage to Arlie Keeton Sr. These two were blessed with seven children, Arlie Jr., Arlan, Paul, Bobby, John, Arliene, and James. They were married just over 69 years when he preceded her in death on November 05, 2023. Mrs. Keeton had a green thumb which was evidenced by her flowers that she spent time tending. She loved nothing more than to have her home filled with her family, especially when they could spend time gathered around her table. She loved to cook and always wanted to make sure that anyone who stopped by had something to eat, often not wanting them to leave until they had eaten. She was the happiest when she could spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great-great grandchild. Mrs. Keeton was not only blessed with this family, but was also blessed with a Church family whom she dearly loved at Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Keeton departed this life for her eternal reward on Friday, January 2, 2026 in Waynesboro, TN making her stay in this life some 89 years, 2 months, and 4 days.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Arlie Keeton Jr. of Waynesboro, TN; Arlan Keeton and wife Patricia of Cypress Inn, TN; Paul Keeton and wife Peggy; Bobby Keeton and wife Pam; John Keeton; Arliene Colilns all of Iron City, TN; James Keeton of Lutts, TN; two sisters Esther Doolin of California; Doris Starry of North Carolina; She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Michael Keeton and wife Cindy of Killen, AL; Jeremy Keeton of Cypress Inn, TN; Zachary Keeton; Eden Keeton both of Collinwood, TN; Brian Keeton of Iron City, TN; Billy Joe Keeton and wife Brittany of Cypress Inn, TN; April Keeton of Iron City, TN; Krissy Hanvey and husband Josh of Smyrna, TN; Lee Collins of Iron City, TN; Jonah Keeton; Jesse Keeton both of Lutts, TN; Brandi Hazelwood and husband Tommy; Alex Davis both of Iron City, TN; Cameron Cole of Clifton, TN; Kayson Cole of Iron City, TN; as well as 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Quintin Ray Keeton; great granddaughter, Blaire Rose Collins; son-in-law- Mark Brandon Collins; daughter-in-law Jennifer Rae Keeton; four sisters, Laura Doolin, Dorothy Fisher, Hazel Beck, Elizabeth Inman; and two brothers, Earl Inman, Tom Inman
Visitation with the Keeton family will be on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM all at Stateline Church.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Stateline Church with Greg Stults and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer will include Michael Keeton, Billy Joe Keeton, Lee Collins, Preston Keeton, Aiden Keeton, and Denton Watkins
