Margaret Moses Cooley passed away on September 19th, 2024 in Athens, AL. Visitation will be at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens on Saturday September 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm with the service beginning at 2:00pm . A private burial immediately following will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL.
Mrs. Cooley was born June 30, 1929, in Morgan County to Zolin and Helen Moses. She was preceded in death by her husband George Cooley, parents; her brothers, Arvil Moses, Verlin Moses, Tillman Moses; and one sister, Linda Moses.
She was a dedicated member of Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include her cousins, nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Fred Richter, who along with his late wife Magdalene Richter, had cared for Margaret for many years. Also thank you to Suzanna Bailey, her family, Becky and Jim Ford who provided support, love and countless hours of time over the last few years.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bailey, John David Bailey, Jim Ford, Tony Richter, Greg Nix and Gerry Moses. The service will be officiated by Steve Klein.
