Margaret “Maggie” Kostandin Labbe, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday.  Born to parents and with siblings who emigrated from Albania, Margaret grew up in New England. After marrying her husband, Robert, their travels with the U.S. Army led them to living in Alaska and then in Huntsville.

She was an avid golfer, learned archery, and painted ceramics. She won and placed in numerous golf tournaments. Her joy came in caring for her family, and she traveled solo even to Albania, where she met her sister for the first time.

Survivors include sons, Terry Labbe and wife, Betty, and Bob Labbe; granddaughter, Jennifer Ellinger and husband, Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews in New England.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Friday, December 29 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with the funeral immediately following in the chapel. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

The family respectfully declines flowers and wishes memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Project.
