Margaret Mae Abbott, age 87, of Boaz, Alabama, passed away on August 21, 2025. She was born on August 5, 1938, to the late Frank and Melissy Hancock.
Margaret is survived by her children, Kenny Abbott, Elaine Hamilton, and Rodney Abbott; grandchildren, Shaleena, Joseph, Derrick, Breanna, Kacey, Makalya, and Wayne; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Williams and Lois Mason; sisters-in-law, Gail Hancock, Joyce Turner, and Bonnie Wilbanks; special niece, Dianna Hancock; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Abbott; sons, Billy and Frankie Hamilton; five brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Chapel with Bro. Joe Edmondson and Bro. Stanley Jones officiating. Burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers assisting will be Dillon Sauls, Taylor Smith, Joseph Abbott, Derrick Abbott, Wayne Hamilton, and Brandon Fant.
