Margaret Louell Cole, age 85, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Phil Campbell, Alabama.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Mark Daniel and George Whitten officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Ms. Cole is survived by her children; Michael Thornton, Kay Middleton and Diane Thornton; siblings, Iva Lee Dobbins, Shelia Kimbrough and Eddie Hightower; grandchildren, Cynthia Willis, Dennis (Shanda) Thornton, Brady Thornton, Thomas (Megan) Thornton and Nuttida “Dream” Chomphukkawin; great grandchildren, Abigail Thornton, Taylor Thornton, Spencer Thornton, Grace Thornton, Olivia Thornton, Makaela Rushing and Madison Hyde; and great great grandchild, Alora; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Carrie Hightower; husband, Tillman Cole; son, James Thornton, Jr.; and siblings, Eloise Shellnutt, Louise Cagle, Betty Faye Mobley, Bobbie Fell, Nellie Jo Greely, Cuethal Hightower and Ronald Hightower.
