Margaret Johnston Aaron passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on February 11, 1927, in Covington, Georgia, Margaret raised her family in Albertville, Alabama, and lived a life rich in family, resilience, and devotion. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Whether through her home-cooked meals, wise advice, or her gentle humor, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Gayle) Aaron and Kathy (Martin) Kelley Borland; 12 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Frank Johnston and Gail Marchman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Aaron; her daughter, Patti Howard; and her siblings, Orell Johnston, Roy James Johnston, Hack Johnston, Mavis Johnston, Myrtle Dimsdale, Rachel Plymel, and Charlotte Lawson.
Margaret’s long life was a gift to all who knew her, and her love will remain with us always.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, assisting the family.
