Margaret Janet Matlock, age 84, of Florence, passed away, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. Visitation will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Troy Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Methodist Church, Ford City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Liston and Nancy Morris, sister, Inez Hallmark and brother-in-law, Chester, sister, Clarice Schulte, granddaughter, Angela Hamm, and brother-in-law, Frank McDaniel.
She is survived by her son, Tony Matlock (Melanie), daughters, Elaine Kerr (Steve), Jackie Smith (Noland), Jennifer Johnson (Gary), Linda Matlock, and Michelle Franks; brother-in-law, William Schulte; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tony Lee Matlock, Josh Howard, Brandon Fisher, Elton Smith, Frankie Peden, and Edgar Shirley.
Mrs. Matlock was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dearly loved her family.
