Margaret Jane Parker, 74, of Leighton, was called home Saturday, August 24, 2013. Her visitation will be Monday, August 26th from 1 pm until 3 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 3 pm with Bro. Danny Russell and Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oneal Parker; son, Tommy Parker and his wife Kristi; parents, Thomas and Libbie Logan; brothers, Clifford and Dennis Logan; and sister, Mary Lou Vandiver.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Witt and husband Bobby, Venisa Brooks and husband J.C., and Teresa Parker; brothers, Jimmy Dale Logan and Jerry Logan and wife Betty; sister, Betty Sue Jeffreys; grandchildren, Wesley Campbell and wife Misty, Johnny Landers, Chastity Cunningham and husband Timmy, J.T. Parker and wife Kasey, Kaycee Karcher and husband Scott, and Justin Brooks; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Hannah, Carl Vandiver, Dennis Logan, Ronnie Jeffreys, Justin Vandiver, and James Russell Logan.
Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice especially her special nurses Judy Nagle, Jessica Benson, Joyce Hester, and chaplain Danny Russell.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
