Margaret F Phillips, 96, of Batesville, went to Heaven to be with her Savior on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Born October 25, 1929 in Union County, she was the daughter of Clyde W. Rodgers and Mary Huffstatler Rogers Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Patsy Faust O’Callaghan, and her husband Wallace Phillips.

She attended the Liberty School in Liberty and moved to Aurora, Illinois in the 1960’s to be near her daughter and grand-children. After the death of her first husband, Reno Faust, she married Wallace Phillips of West Memphis, Arkansas. They retired to Holly Springs then moved to Batesville, where they lived out their lives. She loved her family, friends, Cornerstone Baptist Church of Batesville, home making, and floral arranging.

She is survived by two step-sons, Wally Phillips of Memphis and Johnnie Phillips of Hopewell, Illinois, four grand-children, Rex Bishop of Williamsburg, VA, David Bishop of Eden, NC, Pam Keeling and Brittany O’Callaghan both of Tupelo, and numerous great and great great-grand-children.

Services will be held at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany on Monday, December 1 with Visitation at 1:00 PM and Funeral at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Union County.

Memorials in Margaret’s name may be sent to Cornerstone Baptist Church, Batesville, MS.
